Our mission is simple but powerful: to rescue dogs caught in Asia’s cruel dog meat trade and give them a safe, loving future. Our Hands-On Rescue Work
We are on the ground where the need is greatest. Our team works directly with local activists to rescue dogs from places no dog should ever be — slaughterhouses, dog meat trucks, wet markets, and traffickers. This work is urgent and sometimes dangerous, but the lives saved make it all worthwhile. Each rescue is the first step toward a new beginning for these dogs.
Once rescued, the dogs are taken to our sanctuaries in Dayi and Gongyi, Asia, receiving medical care and attention. Many arrive injured, scared, or sick, but with proper treatment and time, we see them recover and regain trust in people. This healing process is just as crucial as rescue because these dogs have often been through terrible experiences.
Giving Dogs a Second Chance
Saving a dog means little if they don’t find a safe place to call home. We work hard to place every dog in a loving family through adoption. This is the moment we look forward to most — watching our survivors begin their new lives with people who care deeply about their well-being.
We also offer foster care opportunities for those who want to help but may not be ready for permanent adoption. Fostering allows dogs to adjust to life outside the shelter and prepares them for their future homes.
Supporting Our Mission
Our work at No Dogs Left Behind is possible because of the support we receive from people who care. Donations provide food, medical care, shelter, and dog transportation.
